Old Tools For UI/UX Design

I have recently changed the software I use for UI/UX design. Real quick, here is a list of software I have used in the past.

  • Photoshop – for mockups
  • Illustrator – logos and icons
  • Fireworks – UI designs
  • Sketch – UI designs & logos
  • Axure – UI/UX designs & Prototyping

cheaper & still professional

Newer Tools For UI/UX Design

Now, however, I have stumbled upon some other software programs that I think are really great. They don’t take up so much bloat and they don’t cost an arm and a leg.

So here they are:

  1. Affinity Photo – replaces Photoshop
  2. Affinity Designer – replaces Illustrator
  3. Procreate – for digital artwork
  4. Adobe XD – for prototyping
  5. Figma – for UI/UX & prototyping

What is also great about all these programs is that I can use them all on my iPad or my Macbook. Let me tell you, Affinity on the iPad is INSANELY AWESOME!

I highly recommend these software programs. Get them, use them, love them.
